Comment on curriculum vitae
The list of productions in this cv is a limited selection. Involvement with contemporary dance is not listed which includes collaborations with choreographer Per Jonsson, choreographer/dancer Irene Hultman and choreographer/dancer Nathalie Ruiz. Composer of chamber music, film music and electro acoustic music is not taken up. Performing improvised music with groups and musicians like Lokomotiv Konkret, Tvist, Sten Sandell, David Stackenäs, Peter Söderberg and a varieties of ensembles in Sweden, Finland, US and Holland, is not listed. Different video art pieces are not mentioned, among them a series of videos based on texts by August Strindberg (2006-2007). Main professor at the Royal College of Music, Stockholm, was professor Sven David Sandström, supervising/teaching composition, interpretation and improvisation; final paper at the Department of Theater Science, University of Stockholm, was on Eugeneo Barba and Theatre Anthropology, supervised by professor Willmar Sauter; Conducting education at SMI/Stockholm focused on analysis, late 19th and 20th century repertoire. Courses included in the PhD education are philosophy, performance studies, gender studies, rhetoric and pedagogy. I am the founder of Alice Collective for Sound&Stage Art which is an independent group of theater artists, writers, musicians and dramaturges’ working with contemporary sound and stage art. The collective has as an ambition to present new drama, music theater, opera and sound art, readings, concerts, art performances, radio shows and combinations thereof, at different venues and for different age groups. Among the writers and composers represented in the work of the collective are Mathias Spahlinger, Öyvind Fahlström, Erik Beckman, Kristina Lugn, Tora von Platen, John Cage, Ivo Nilsson, Italo Calvino. My work as artistic director and producer for record and publishing company Alice Musik Produktion, should be understood as introducer of projects. It includes formulating and assigning commissions for original music and texts, production planning/budget planning, recording and editing, chief editor of text, distribution planning/administration, contracting (regulating national/ international copyrights and distribution relations). The repertory that dominates my activities as producer is French, Italian and Spanish early baroque music and American, German and Swedish contemporary music. Composers among these are Nicolaus Vallet, Albert de Rippe, Claude Loyola Allgén, Karl Heinz Stockhausen, John Cage, Morton Feldman, Nicolaus A Huber, Steve Reich, Alivin Lucier, James Tenney. Swedish and international improvised music are also included in the catalogue. The company has produced a series called Poetry&Music where contemporary Swedish composers have been commissioned to collaborate with poets. The series so far includes Eva Ström/Akoz Rozmann, Stig Larsson/Dror Feiler, Jörgen Gassilewski/Sten Sandell, Birgitta Lillpers/Lars Sandberg, and Lars Forssell/Jonas Forssell. Teaching experience includes being responsible (planning, teaching, evaluating) for longer courses, supervision of individual students and series of seminars as well as separate lectures.
