The Blue Bull
A play by Swedish writer Birgitta Lillpers from 2005. There are two characters in the play: The Woman and the Blue Bull. The Woman has broken loose from her home and family, tired of the need to comply with the rules and pressures of a normal and regulated life. The Blue Bull, reminiscent of a mythological world, carries her on his back through a contemporary world filled with junk food, entertainment industry and shopping malls. The Woman is confused and seeks advice from The Bull. Why is it that she so strongly feels that she can’t fit herself in to this world of consumerism?
