The Free Thinker
by August Strindberg. It is the first play he wrote, written in 1869, 21 years old. A young man is breaking lose from the conformity of Christian morality and reacting against religious hypocrisy, and against the repression of a free spirit. The performance is interspersed with comments and reflections by the contemporary Swedish writer Stig Larsson.
This production is the world premiere of this play.
